We promote equity, inclusion, and respect for all
Kathy’s House values and celebrates the wealth of diversity and unique backgrounds of our guests, staff, volunteers, and the community members we serve. We strive to create a sense of belonging for all, ensuring that everyone feels valued, welcomed and respected.
Our work is about caring for people. We provide a home of healing to support patients and their families fighting critical illnesses. We have compassion for our guests and their families as they face some of the most challenging times in their lives.
Each year, Kathy’s House is home to over 1,500 guests – people who come from many different states and represent different races, ethnicities, and cultures. At Kathy’s House, our guests listen, support, celebrate, and console each other. We are honored that our guests enter our house as strangers and leave as friends.
As part of the healthcare community, we recognize the intersection of racism, social injustice, and health. Systemic inequities can limit access to healthcare services, fostering disparities in health that span generations. As a vital part of the Southeastern Wisconsin healthcare supply chain, we are deeply committed to addressing these inequities.
It’s time for real, believable, meaningful action to promote a national culture based on equity, inclusion, and respect for all. We believe positive change and progress on this requires continuous and intentional commitment and action. We pledge to learn, listen, discuss, participate, and do the work necessary to create equitable communities.
