Ways to Give
It is only because of caring people like you that we are able to keep our promise to provide affordable lodging and support in our “home away from home” environment for families who need to travel to Milwaukee for medical care. However you choose to support Kathy’s House, we are truly grateful.
Because of the current COVID-restricted environment, revenue we would typically receive from guest contributions, fundraising events and grants have significantly decreased. That is why your support for our patients and guests is more important than ever. Your gift to our urgent Critical Operations Campaign helps close the gap and ensure that Kathy’s House will continue to provide a home away from home for patients and families.
When you shop our Amazon Wishlist, you help us keep our promise to create a welcoming environment for our guests. We are currently only accepting donations of goods from our wishlist.
A New Home for Healing
After many years of planning, construction is underway to build a new, larger Kathy’s House. Our New Home for Healing will improve health equity in our region by helping twice as many patients access life-saving care, regardless of geography, income or resources.
Individuals, groups and organizations can help patients and families who have little, if anything, to contribute toward their lodging at Kathy’s House. Your gift helps those facing financial hardships access needed health care. More than a third of our guests report incomes under $30,000 per year. 10 percent of guests are unable to make a donation for the cost of staying at Kathy’s House.
Become part of the Heart of the House society by naming Kathy’s House as a beneficiary of your retirement account, life insurance policy, or as a recipient in your will or trust. Learn about these ways you can give without making a cash gift.
Event sponsorships are a way to expose a new audience to your business or organization. Contact Events and Philanthropy Coordinator Mary Kanavas to discuss options for customizing your sponsorship.
Strong community partners help ensure that we are able to fulfill our mission. Learn more about our featured partners.
In 2018, 78% of donations were less than $500. Your tax-deductible, philanthropic gift will touch the lives of individuals and families at a time when they need it the most – during a health crisis. More families than ever before are turning to Kathy’s House for lodging and caring support.
If you have questions about how your gift directly benefits patients and guests facing a serious medical crisis, please contact Director of Philanthropy Katie Sparks. Kathy’s House accepts gifts online, by phone and by mail.
